Submerged 101. I mean, version 1.0.1


Hello there,

Major update in this minor update: DIFFICULTY SETTINGS

Yes, now you can finally set the game to even higher difficulty! :tada:

Changelog (including changes from ~2 days ago, mentioned in one of the comments):

  • Added difficulty settings. Now you can choose between "Be gentle", "Sweat a little, swear a little" and "I want to go deep", depending on how hard you want to be hit. Middle setting is the original one
  • Added current run time to screen. For anyone wanting to know how long the run took or maybe even to track intervals of game mechanics
  • Lowered monster's peripheral vision from 320 to 270 degrees. This change should eliminate SOME cases of him seeing you being in a corridor behind him, BUT you still cannot simply walk up to him when he's turning cause then the head rotates and the peripheral vision covers what was directly behind him from right before the turn took place
  • When you hit and hold E when facing a wall and you move towards actually interactable thing, it will now show interaction prompt
  • The electric box has been updated with prompts, better highlighting of what's interactable and proper visual + sound feedback. I imagined electric box to be fixed sooner by players, but I failed at properly communicating what's going on with it. Now it should be more clear how to interact with it and when you fail to fix it 
  • There is now an in-game "art" piece showing that hiding in rooms is not something that you should do. It's a bit on the nose, but I hope it will clear out any doubts when it comes to "where to hide". I've tried to rely heavily on the "light means something" with the green, "safe" light of the hiding spots. Now, the added graphic should complement this and it should be obvious what (not) to do
  • I've increased the range of monster's sound. Now you can hear him earlier and have extra time to escape from a room
